Lori Marchak, LCPC

Lori Marchak, LCPC is President and co-founder of Gallatin Psychotherapy, Inc. She is known for her ability to work successfully with a broad range of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and relationship struggles, as well as her ability to help clients move from places of minor to very significant levels of distress, to places of high levels of functioning and happiness. Lori is equally comfortable working with individuals and couples.

Lori moved to Bozeman with her husband and three children in 1998, leaving a career in high technology to build a career in emotional and social intelligence. She has been a psychotherapist in private practice in Bozeman since 2002. She is known for her comfortable, empathic style coupled with a sharp ability to see deeply into client’s issues and help them achieve success.

Lori’s theoretical orientation is grounded in Client-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes the importance of the client-therapist relationship, attachment theory, and interpersonal neurobiology. Tailored to the individual client, Lori’s approach includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, strategic therapies, and mindfulness therapies.

Lori completed an MS in Mental Health Counseling at MSU-Bozeman in 2000 and a PhD in Experimental Psychology at the University of Minnesota in 1990.

In her personal life, Lori has fun dancing, hiking, attending cultural events, and singing.
