Taniquell Wilder, LCPC
Taniquell is a marriage and family counselor who works with couples and individual adults. She collaborates with clients to cultivate a safe, accepting, and productive environment in which to address issues and make desired changes. She offers an empathic and warm atmosphere to support those she works with in finding meaning, developing a sense of personal empowerment, and exploring impactful life experiences. Taniquell works with each client to develop an authentic, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. She believes each person has the capacity to heal and change when they are supported and understood. Taniquell is known for her openness, sense of humor, and comforting presence.
Taniquell provides therapeutic services for both adults and couples who are struggling with feelings of disconnection, unsatisfying relationships, depression, anxiety, shame, identity issues, and low self-esteem. She also supports client’s in cultivating self-acceptance, processing interpersonal trauma, and redefining self-limiting beliefs. Taniquell utilizes a comprehensive approach that incorporates strengths-based, systemic, and attachment-based approaches. In work with couples, she practices Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), an empirically validated model that supports couples in breaking painful emotional cycles that often arise in romantic relationships, while also increasing emotional attachment, intimacy, and safety between partners.
